May Temperature Update: Weekly Heat Record Confirmed
The National Weather Service Washington/Baltimore office in Sterling VA has confirmed that the Washington average temperature May 1-7 was indeed an all-time record high for the first week of May. The average minimum temperature was also a record. Official Washington temperature records extend back 140 years.
