The National Climatic Data Center reports that a total of 92 daily maximum temperature records were set and 57 were tied on April 25. For the month to date, 698 new records have been set, and 322 have been tied. There have been 10 new April monthly maximum temperature records set and 17 tied.

A widespread area of 80°+ temperatures from the Mid Atlantic area through southern New England by noon today indicated that more daily maximum temperature records were likely to fall. In the Washington, DC metro area, many locations, including Dulles Airport, were at 90°F/32°C by 1 pm.

MARKS THE SECOND TIME IN AS MANY DAYS THAT BOSTON HAS TIED THE
